well ive gone outside this morning to take the mrs to work in the car, car wouldnt start, got a neighbour to help jump start the car. "this is all i need , a bike that doesnt like starting and a car that doesnt either " i said to the neighbour

"were is the bike" said the neighbour.

Turning around looking at the empty drive in amazement. Holy toad, i hadnt noticed. Omg the bikes gone.

Now im pissed off

nah i didnt, it was in my girlfriends drive along with the cav, they only had a narrow pathway to push it out, and the steering lock was on.

Having had a 200kg+ VFR carried halfway down the road whilst still disc-locked, I never trust a bike's security unless it's chained to something solid. I'm considering getting a 'Bucket 'O Crete' for when I leave it at my girlfriends flat, even though it's chained and disc-locked already...

WHat you reakon they worth with 50k ( kph ) new tyres, good condition, only few mots from 2005? only insured it for £1000 but got a £200 excess. SO only be offered 800 max? you think they'lle even offer me the 800?

im not sure mate, i thought they went on "book" price? to be honest ive had no experience yet of things like this so i really dont know mate,i would be well pissed off, ive often considered selling mine coz i live in a shithole and it ends up being a liability, contsantly worrying about it

double check that excess mate, they may double it if it was stollen from the property its insured at, thats what one of my last insurers did.

Bad luck on having it stollen, ive had a bike taken before and it pissed me right off because it was my transport. It was found a week later covered in mud so had been taken purely for a joyride.
