valve clerance

valve clerance
I have just checked all of my shims on my bik. max talerance for exhaust is 0.21 and mine came in at 0.23 on some. i had a rattle appar the last time i used the bike. would this be why?

Certainly add to the over all noise of the engine - how many were loose? Not as drastic as being tight but you should have changed the shim's.
Nothing worse than having an H and not being able to scratch it !

the tightest was at .09 instead of .12, they are changed and loosest was at .23 instead of .21. so all the ones that are out are now changed. get the right sizes tomorrow so they ill all be fitted, then will give you and uodate
