Hi,
After a long nights work... at work obviously... I decided to take my carbs apart..............AGAIN! Since the begining of winter, 1 of my work mates who owns a fireblade :wanker says everytime I pull up at the warehouse he can smell fuel. So today I stripped the carbs down to bare bone like, even the butterflies got removed
Anyway... I found out that the 2 O-rings on the overflow joining pipe had split, easy job that, so I replaced them with some non split 1s from another set of carbs. Putting the carbs back together I messed up the carb balancing (obvious when you strip the carbs completely) So when it came to balancing the carbs today with some help from my mate, as I reached down to find the screw, coil lead #3 zapped me! Done a whoe strip down and rebuild on that aswell. Turnt out that water got under the heat sleeve and was coursing leaking sparks. Strip, clean and rebuild and the flatspots have vanished! the bike feels like it's been kicked up the butt! I almost came off her after giving it a handful and not seeing this huge pot hole on the road at 80mph

yikes!
So yeah, give ya coils and leads a good going over.
Regards
Rich
