Post by lewisdale »

got a oil leak from either the front sprocket shaft seal or the seal on the gearchange shaft, its running down the fairing bit havent checked yet to see which one it is, anyway does anyboy know if these seals can be removed from the outside? or are they located on the inside of the engine? cheers

lewis, you sure its an oil leak and not oil flinging off the chain?

Quite rare for those seals to go, but as far as im aware its an engine out job :(

hmmmmmmmmm yer im 99 percent sure its a leak and not the chain, like i said i havent had a proper look yet, i hope its not a engine out job , i would have thought(and hope) the seals are pushed in from the outside!!!!! might have a look in the manual or on the microfiche, might give me a indication
