Re: CBR 4 Pot Nissin Calipers
Hi,
lol I'm still waiting for them to arrive to me door, I'll be slining them 6 pots back on egay hoping to get some of me money back on the new 1s I just bought (wasn't cheap) I think these are the same as the ones scott fitted to his? But I'll let everyone know how they are when I get and fit em.
Regards
Rich

Re: CBR 4 Pot Nissin Calipers
erm the file i used is back at work, so cant get pic, basically its a normal file but has a cutting edge on one of the sides as well, so it fitted in the gap.
they might need filing, best thing to do is fit them and try and spin the wheel, if it spins freely, then no you dont need to file them, if they catch on the disc, then you do, but its only the top bit that needs doing.
have you got the gsxr rear disc bolts? you will also need 8 m8 washers, 2 for each bolt to space the caliper out.

The piston size doesn't look that much different to the tockio 4 pots.

Compared to my 6pots they are, the pistons in them are really weedy. If anyone has more interest in 6pots then me, then feel free to give me a figure.

Yeah the 6 pot ones are pretty small but the 4 pots are massive.
Put your calipers on ebay. Mine made 150 odd quid.

Re: CBR 4 Pot Nissin Calipers
Hi,
Well, I thought I'd give them a quick nock up and it doesn't look good I'm afraid
The calipers fit! but... because of the position of the bleed nipple, it hits the back bolt that hold the front mudgaurd on making it impossible to bleed up. Looks like I'm going to have to go back to the original 4 pot Tokicos

Re: CBR 4 Pot Nissin Calipers
Hi,
It's not that, it's the fact that the nipple actually twats the bolt behind the mudguard stopping the calipers bolting fully on. Sorry if I confused everyone by saying they fit, what I meant was the bolt holes line up with the forks perfect. I took the nipple off and the calipers fit nicely soon as I put the nipple in it's impossible to fit them. I found some nice tokicos on egay wondering if they would fit. They've come off of a GSF650 2008, they look exactly the same as the 4 pot gsxrs but I'm not sure whether to hit the green button and go for them. Need to confirm they do. Don't really fancy sending yet another pair of calipers back.
Regards
Rich

Re: CBR 4 Pot Nissin Calipers
suppose you could bleed them off the bike then carefully remove the bleed nipple and replace with a hex head bolt, and prey they don't need bleeding when back on the bike??
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

Re: CBR 4 Pot Nissin Calipers
can you get bleed nipples with a kink in them? Avoid the bolt then???
