yes was out on it for the first time on sunday.seemed to run ok.Also noticed when i rev it it drops to 2000 for a few seconds then drops to normal idle.Think i'll just get a mechanic to look at it.RedexRobB wrote:Have you managed to ride it yet?

Re: bike cutting out
the revs hanging sound like an air leak.

Re: bike cutting out
the revs used to hang on my bike due to air leaks from the airbox and from the inlet rubbers, the inlet rubbers made the biggest difference. mixture screws also can also help with revs hanging.
with age the inlet rubbers start to split and perish where they bolt down to the head and also the seals become flat so dont make a good seal.
id say its worth a try having a look yourself before you pay someone else to have a look, there not that hard to work on id say if your hands on sort of person and theres plenty of people on here willing to answer any questions.
hope this helps let us know how you get on

Re: bike cutting out
could just be running a bit lean on idle. On my new one number 4 cylinder was turned down to just half a turn out and it would hang briefly then drop. Turned out to 1 3/4 on all four and there is now no hanging at all. Check the idle mixture screws.
These things are sent to try us!!
