So currently I click on something, go off to the say "ebay" listing, close it down an I've closed the forum down too :smt013
Apart from that i was kinda thinking there's getting too many sub divisions but also think they are handy for easy info finding. If there is one called "Chassis & Wheels" and your having problems with fitting L wheels onto an H your going to find what you need in there.
Maybe more structured sub forums based around the workshop manual might be an easy way of getting the info you need.
Is it possible to make postings have a "tag" where a reader can click on it and it highlights it as a possible "sticky" to be moved - if 5 readers click the tag then Admin get a notification that there is a valid post for saving into the forum library?
eg. I post up a " How to strip the top end and re-build in situ" which would be in the "Engine" sub forum and if the info is good it gets made into a "sticky" for quick reference - like the shim swap thread, the chat is removed unless it is adding and it becomes an easy reference guide.
My re-build thread is going to contain lot's of stuff from making your H run like an L as I swap out the loom and install a race CDI, but for a reader it wouldn't be aparent to look in "my build" thread to see if that can be done. My ZRX runs an H rear wheel with an L hub and cush drive (posted in my bike thread) . as i build the bike up from the ground I am sure there will be other things that will come in handy for others to know and as it emerges the other bike will diminish so I'll have a strip and a re-build going on at the same time.
mmmm, maybe a "Do's n Don'ts" section would help - where you can instantly see what has been done and worked and what hasn't
eg.
Suspension:
Do's:
ZX636 forks into L yokes.
Don'ts:
ZXR400H forks into L yokes.
