Rockingham International Saturday 03/10/09

Post by Jamz »

I'm not addicted, honest! confuddled

I'm booked into this track day with No Limits which will (unless I do just one more...) be my 3rd and last of the year! The only spaces left are in the Novice group, so it's as good a place to start as any if you've never done one before!

I'll most likely be hiring a bike again for this one...

Anyone else coming?

This is one of the more expensive trackdays at £139.

Bike hire is anything from £175 to £250, and they'll also ask for a deposit of between £250 and £500 to cover any damage.

Lady Snoots seem to be about the cheapest at £180 + £250 deposit, but you have to pay for the fuel which is around another £20, followed closely by PR Trackbike Hire who are about the same but I haven't used yet! These both provide full mechanical assistance, tyre warmers, paddock stands, wets - the lot, so you literally just get on, ride it, and give it back every session!

Some *ahem-hem-Focused-Events* charge £250 for something that looks like it was dropped out of a helicopter, don't give you any tyre warmers, and charge £500 deposit that you lose ALL of even if you scratch a lever. Then they keep that 'deposit' in their bank for three -ing days earning interest before they refund it. :wanker

So it's worth shopping around!

I'm pretty sure it'll be my last of the year...
