right this might seem an idiot question, but i'll ask it anyway...
sorting my H1 out for the road, and it got a bit of a test ride today... very exciting, however, it seems that its a bit flat (i know they aren't torque monsters, but hang on),
so i checked the pump, etc, and pump doing its intermittant ticking, as it should, but it doesn't seem to be filling the fuel filter, so it drains that faster than it fills it seems...
so, cleaned fuel tap out, thats all ok, fuel lines, pump, etc, there is fuel and tank breather is clear... all ok.
i ask the question: would a clogged fuel filter cause these problems?
just wanna know before i spend money, because i'm tight, and don't like spending it...
thanks in advance,
cliff

Re: slow fuel flow...
if you think its at fault you could always take it out just for a test ride to see if its any better.

Re: slow fuel flow...
You could test the pump by running it and pumping fuel into a container and see what sort of rate it pumps at
It should give a good flow

Re: slow fuel flow...
new filter cured it, you turn tap on and watch filter bowl fill up lol, runs right now!
incidentally, i went to clay cross stratstone, kawa dealer round here,
and they found me a ducati fuel filter thats fits ok (bigger bowl), but nozzles ok, and half price of a genuine kawa one, as they had no zxr400 ones.
maybe worth remembering if you're skint or in need of one sharpish...
