H1 head on L bottom end?

Hi there
i know from reading through the forums that an h motor will go in an L bike and vice versa but

can you put an L head on a H bottom end or H head on an L bottom end?

Off the top of my head I say yes but it could be that there are differences that would reduce performance ? ?

never actually done it.. cant see why not though, except for the lack of the outlet for the carb heaters on the H head
