What should I do?

Post by Timmeee »

Hey guys, I've had my L1 for about a year now and I've stripped her down, cleaned her up and sprayed the frame, engine etc... in fact... the project is about 98% complete, including 9 months MOT & TAX as I have been riding her to work etc.... just needs the rear fairing and cowling painted as they are filled and primered, the manifold has a hole but could possibly be patched or replaced, she needs 2 indicator bulbs and she can be ridden away... but I've got to get my hands on a people carrier so she's gotta go....

Now... I thought I'd have my hand bitten off for her but I've had little interest off this site... so do I put her on ebay/autotrader etc or should I just strip her down and sell the parts seperatly?

I just gotta get rid of her in a hurry as I'm totally stuck at the weekends so I was only looking for £500... I have been looking around and they are fetching a lot more than this... what should I do?

Thanks in advance.

i think the fact that the pics in your thread from late last year seem to show that you've re-sprayed the entire thing with gold paint (?)

might have something to do with it.

Zimm... do you have many friends at all? why do you have to be such an butt about it? maybe you shouldn't comment on peoples posts if you can't be constructive?
Obviously that is without the fairing which is blue and she looks great as far as I'm concerned and I don't appreciate ur comment after spending so much time and effort on my bike... thanks for nothing! :wanker

touchy arent we ?

I never said it looked toad or anything ..

but a custom painted and unfinished bike with a knackered exhaust and unresolved running issues is hardly going to be easy to sell.

that is all.

It should sell on ebay, but you are selling a bike that probably isnt going to be to everyones taste, youll always have that problem with a bike thats been customised. Stick it on ebay with a reserve, if it doesnt sell then it may be time to break it, but you will be left with bits no one wants.
