G Model engine fit an L mode??

G Model engine fit an L mode??
Hi lads, my mate blew up his L model engine and have been lookin for a replacement, a lad has contacted me with a "G" model engine that he had as a spare, am just lookin to see does anyone know if this will actually fit in an L model?

sure you dont mean a h model? if so yes it will fit, i think all you have to do is take off the trermostat housing and turn it round

G model will be off a zx400g not a zxr best pm zimm cos he knows more about the zx400 than anyone!
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

The guy said it was an '88 G model engine when he pm'd me, I thought he ment H too but then he was on about the cams been closer to sp than the L? Researching on here I found some old post about the G model too. Will have to get in touch with him a clarify it and get back to ye, thanks lads

the 88 zx400g model engine will bolt into an L frame.
they don't run an oil cooler, and you will need to use the ignition pick up off your old engine.

I've got an L model engine for sale
0.5mm over size, base gasket removed, total loss (starter retained), new head, pickup, generator (and possibly sump) gaskets, standard head and shims just done.
