Hello everyone,
Has anyone ever tried to fit a ZXR750 fairing on a ZXR400? I'm talking about the 750 with the same pipes from the fairing to the front of the tank (do these pipes have a purpose by the way? I was told they would cool the engine with the air flow but I wondered if it actually worked): the top fairing seems similar fixation-wise, but maybe the size is actually not the same at all...
I'm asking because I might have found a 400 for sale, but the top fairing is broken. I know I would also have to change a few other things (lights notably) even if the plastic fits, but that wouldn't be a problem I guess.
Thanks for your help.

the zxr750 fairing would be a lot bigger, why not just buy a zxr400 fairing?
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

The pipes are largely cosmetic ...............they do to a certain extent deliver cool ? air to the general vicinity of the standard airbox inlet.

I simply fitted some alumunium air ducting over my holey plastic piping. £1.50 a metre from your local DIY shop- make sure you get the correct diameter and be careful when cutting it and sliding it over the top of your plastic tube or you'll cut your fingers to pieces!!!!
It looks really good when you've done it and weighs bugger all. Fix it in place with a zip tie and insulation tape under the front fairing and a jubilee ring at the tank end.
Does nothing for cooling- its purely for cosmetics. The hoover pipes are part of the ZXR image arent they?
