Any one planning on attending the traditional mallory pie and mash track day on January 2nd? £39 for the day with gues what for lunch, from No Limits tack days. I missed last year, but i'm tempted for this year. not sure what their response is to snow. I know that carry on running in the wet (cue the frantic swapping of wheels!) but i don't know about snow. I mean, you could easily keep the circuit & paddock well salted, but for those who don't have heated grips (don't see why i should have cold hands) the cold might be more of an issue.
So, any one game for a ZXRoc meet at mallory that day? Lets face it, you'll never get a track day cheaper!

New year tack day at mallory (pie and mash!)
I do 700 miles a week in all weathers including snow, that's roughly 35,000 miles a year, and some weekend warrior biker has the nerve to get out of his Audi at work to tell me to I was riding far too fast in the wet (over taking at 50... fast eh?).

Re: New year tack day at mallory (pie and mash!)
BRILLIANT DAY! got home yesterday well and truly nackered, but in a good way. weather wasn't too cold, track almost completely dry, and plenty of time on it. No limits guys were great, as was my trusty zxr. me and a mate on an old zx6r showed the posers on the prepped track bikes what road bike with our salt, muck, and luggage racks can do!
The zxr guzzled fuel when on track, but i did spend most of the time at over 10k rpm, and even managed a steady 100ish around gerards! And my chicken line is no more!
wish there has been some more of us there (i didn't spot anyone i knew), would have been a laugh.

hehe, that was the official stance of the no limits staff too! was a good day though, dry, not freezing cold, good way to blow the cobwebs out. I had longjohns under my race leathers, and two jumpers over the top! The heated grips helped loads.
