Smashed the Zxr up this morning

Post by bikenut »

Lost it on ice, smashed the farings, ripped the brake lever and front indicator.

Gutted the bike is wrecked, but what really got me was people driving past while the bike and me are lying in the road.

Thankfully someone stopped and helped me get the bike upright.

Rhs fairings mashed, nosecone cracked. Brake lever gone, indicator gone, exhaust destroyed.
Few bent brackets behind the fairings.

Bit hairy riding 25 miles home with no front brake lever.

Aww bawbags! Sorry to hear that, but glad you're ok!

I think the back-to-cold- we had this morning could have caught a lot of people out. I went out this afternoon and the roads are sooooooo slippery everywhere - not helped by the masses of diesel that seems to be covering them!

Hope you get it sorted out soon, have a beer tonight, and prepare to feel a million aches you never imagined over the next two days!

Here's a good illustration of how slippery it was this afternoon - even though my tyres wouldn't have helped matters! :smt003

Gutted for ya mate.
I threw the CBR down at less than 10mph and my heart sank, luckily there was no damage at all as the snow and slush softened the blow.

MillaMeter has a load of parts for sale, only just posted the ad he has.

buysell/single_ad.php?ad_id=552

Get in there quick mate.

If you can get part numbers for the panels I can check if there is factory stock.

That is a European colour scheme so I can't pull up the codes myself :smt009

That looks a mean ol slide down the road :smt010
