Hi guys and girls
welli am in the crew once again got a zxr400 l5 this will be may 3rd now 8 years ago i got my first zxr400 had it for 3 years then i was time to move on to the zx7r then that whent and left me bikeless so one night i was thinking about the good times had on the little rocket got on e bay and there you go. this will not be getting sold the plan is to strip and clean and paint but have no ideas on the paint side of things any idears???

That’s the plan might go crazy and makes some videos of some of the work being done in a way to help other members seeing jobs done specific to the zxr400 but I haven’t decided to wait till summer is over or get on it now.

Start with Black Swinger frame and forks and work from there - you can't go wrong :smt003

If you've the budget set a time limit - I done mine in a month. Didn't do every single last part I wanted but since being on the road I have picked my way through the remaining list.

Everyone thinks it looks great but the rad, oil cooler and grills are still honking , front braided lines are well past their best, rear is still original , calipers need a paint & I only recently started to clean the engine.

All the other bits I have tackled could easily be done in a day so why hold back using it :smt004

Do the big stuff that once bolted on it's never coming off again , get using it and do the finishings as an ongoing project :smt001
