Just bought a ZXR 400!

Post by banner001 »

'94 model (bit older than i would like), 34,000 miles (bit more than i would like), £1200 (bit more than i would have liked)...but saw it, fell in love with it, i now have a commuter bike!

Its getting an MOT and as i work away from home i now have a 3 week wait to pick it up...gonna be a tense 3 weeks!

its a nice tidy bike, been in a low speed slide at some point, slight scuffing to bar ends and a bit of scraping on the can...but no big deal, the can is probably coming off anyways :D

just thought i would say hi and introduce myself like.

here you go :D
Image

after having a bad crash at 19 (im now 28) involving a shattered pelvis and nearly loosing my right hand (and at 19 that would have been harsh :D), followed by 4 years of uni, 4 years of a PhD few years inbetween working...its been over 10 years since i last got on a bike, so i am really looking forwards to getting on it. it has some minor cosmetic damage (slight scuff on RHS indicator, bar ends and brake lever as well as a bit of damage to the exhaust...but other that that its in pretty decent condition for the age/millage.

lets hope it can survive the winter :D im after a one-piece now as i have grown upwards and outwards since i last rode (im now approaching the 16-stone mark :ffs )

Gotta fit my GPS to it first then im all sorted :D

oh yeah im currently in coventry so if anyone is going on any ride-outs anywhere let us know, it sucks being the only apparent biker in a 1-mile radius, though its gonna be good for the traffic :D
