Cam Chain pins.

Cam Chain pins.
Im looking at the workshop manual for setting up the cam chain timing and after looking at the diagram on page 4-11. and number 5 on the diagram states pin #30 so are we going from timing mark to timing mark with 30 pins or are we counting 30 pins from #6 on the diagram giving us 31 pins from timing mark to timing mark?

if you are fitting a new chain you dont need to measure the pins etc
set the exhaust cam first with the scribe mark in line with the casing and the chain tight then set the inlet cam with the sribe mark in line with the casing and the chain tight at the top release tensioner and alls good
