Hi all,
I'm an ex-biking Londoner now living in Cumbria, and my resolve not to get myself a bike after 20 years out of the saddle is crumbling in the face of the sublime Cumbrian roads on my doorstep. A change of job and a 7 mile commute on a fast, free-flowing and smoothly surfaced A road makes a ZXR400 a realistic option. So I'm now on the hunt - I'll keep you posted!
Great forum, lots of lovely machines, BTW...

a bit of a steal at under £2k, bin the screen and possibly the purple can and you have got yourself a decent bike, about 40-60 miles away from you i reckon...

Re: Nearly a ZXR owner
and as for commuting on a zxr its easy
nice and light, its my only way to get to work, i use it in everything but ice and snow, it gets me to work and back 7 days a week, plus once a month a go and do the 120 mile trip back up north to see my wife, and its fine, all i would say is that (and this might just be mine) the suspension transmits every bump into your hands, mines done 36000 miles so could probably do with a revalve and oil change, but you get used to the numb hands after a while and i find that winter gloves with more padding help quite a bit.
but i love my baby ninja! im gonna keep it, not gonna sell it when i trade up, its too fun
