Mixture settings

Want to have ago at adjusting the mixture on the bike as i think its running very rich,so to start with do i wind them fully clockwise or anticlockwise and start setting from there.Also have scorpion end can on so will this be different setting than manual states?

what are the mixture screws set at now?is it standard except and end can?i think standard is 2 1/2 turns out from stop. mine are set at 3 turns out at the moment and i have got non standard can and downpipes but mines not set up properlly yet so this still may not be right id start at standard if its not already, as just and end can shouldnt affect mixtures too much.
why do you think its running to rich??

Hi mate,not sure what its set at at the moment but getting black smoke alot out of exhaust and hanging revs.Do i wind them all clockwise until they stop then work back from there?

ye thats it ye ......but black smoke seems something more than just mixture screws. revs hanging is usually running to lean.....possibly you have to seperate faults.
is it something thats just started or over a long period of time.....
is the black smoke all the time or just from cold maybe with a bit more specific info might be able to help a bit more.
does it rev and pull 'cleanly' or bog down and not rev?
