zxr number 2
ive just taken delivery of my 2nd zxr400. its a l2 or 3 i think. the first thing i need to do is fit the wiring loom and get it to run. it had electircal problems last time it run as a bike shop butchered the wiring loom. if its still playing up then i recon it could be the coils. once it does run then ill give it a good service. the plans are to go streetfighter with it and maybe put a few trick parts on it. ill need some opions on stuff like whether to go polished frame and swingarm or powdercoat black. ill get some pics up when its light tommorow.
anything is possible with enough time and money. and an open mind...

Hi,
Give us a shout if ya need a wiring loom, mine's a tiny bit butchered but still works very well. I'll be getting a new 1 for my restoration as I'm turning the bike into a UK bike. I also have about 5 spare ignition coils
Regards
Rich

Re: zxr number 2
latest update on the bike. i havent done as much as what i wanted to do lately but i have been having a bit of a crap time of things lately- work, home ect. i got the wiring loom fitted today but i still have to put 3 connectors on it as they werent on the new loom i got, grrr. next up is to take the alternator cover off so i can prep it to make a carbon fibre one. i also need to get my paddock stand back off my mate so i can take the rear wheel out to be painted and re fit the shock properly. its gonna get a bit of a clean up as well while its all apart. some new sprockets and a chain would be nice but ive got to scrape a few quid together first. ive got to take a few bits off it (brackets) and figure out a way to neaten the wiring up. ill get some pics tommorow although it isnt much to look at really.

Re: zxr number 2
yeah id love to do somthing different with it (involving turbos and nitrous) but as you said money is always against the enemy. i think im going to do it either all white or all black and then sell it at the end of summer. a girl i met in australia wants to come over in a couple of months and go out on it so i guess id better pull my finger out on the build!

you ever argued with an aussie bird?
(NEVER ask an aussie girl if you can see her map of tasmania- ive seen a bloke knocked out for it!) all being well i should be able to start getting the panels sorted tommorow, if im not working that is. just got to decide what colour to do it- all black or all white

yeah im going to put it to standard. mainly a) so i can take another person on it and b) i only plan on keeping it for the summer so it will be easier to sell on. i really want to do it as a show bike but im on crap money at the minute so it will take years to get it how i want it! who knows what bike i might get next...
