Hi guys, just wanted to get everyone's opinion and driving style on this,
When do you all change gear on your ZXR's?
I usually drive around the 4000rpm mark and change gear about 4,500rpm, this is in normal commute.
I've heard driving at higher rpm can be good for the bike, but others say it's bad for the engine, what's your perspectives and how do you drive?

Re: When do you change gear?
if im commuting 4 - 6k rpm
if im giving it beans 13,000 - 14,500 rpm
its a sports bike, so take it up into the high rpm range once in a while, the heat helps to burn off deposits in the head if nothing else.

Higher revs are generally fine as long as its up to temp and has decent oil.
About 4k-ish for a slow ride seems about right, if you go too far below that and you will lose engine response and the bike will bog down.
