Help please new zxr owner!

Hi, I'm new to this site and I was Hoping for some advice from people on here,
I bought a 51 plate zxr 400 I think it's called an l9?, i want to give it its first oil change and service since I've owned it.
I don't know what oil it has in it now, but the hand book says 10w40, but doesn't state whether it's semi or fully synthetic. And I would like to know what are your preferred brands to use. Thanks for any feedback.

the zxr400 is known for clutch slipping with fully synth oil but others have experienced no problems.
