ZXR400 L Brake Lever Guard

Hi,

Has anyone fitted a front brake lever guard to a ZXR400 L ?, this year (2021) MSV require all track day bikes to have a guard fitted but the standard bars are solid and appear not to have an easy means of fitting a guard, short of grinding off the rounded end to the bar and drilling and tapping to fix a guard.

All the guards I've seen appear to have some means of insert into a hollow ended bar that looks like they expand outwards to grip the inner part of the bar end.

Drilling and tapping the original bar would need a guard that has a flat fixing edge and bolt to screw into a tapped hole. Anyone seen such a guard ?

Any urgent suggestions please, got a track day coming up in 2 weeks.

In the end how did you mange this? Looking to track my ZXR and I am in a similar position. Had the same exact thought, but not sure if there is an easier option.
