It`s been almost 12 years since I first got my first ZXR400. The L3, that was a perfect machine was ridden for 2 years and sold in november 2015. After a long period of riding different bikes, some nostalgic vibes in my heart made me buy a ZXR400 again. So, since the summer 2022 i`m a happy owner of two of them. The L2 and L5.
My name is Nikita, I`m 30 and I`m living in Moscow. I am the founder and the admin of ZXR community in Russia, running a public page in VK.com (russian facebook, if you will) and a chat with 150 members.
This forum helped me a lot, so, i`m always here. Almost 4 years as for now.
Trying to restore the L5, making it the as close as possible to ideal condition. That process is very tricky, as parts become harder to find every year, and the biggest problem of such small bikes is that newbies buy it without knowing what it is. So this results in poor maintenance, installing cheap or heavily used parts, servicing with poor quality fluids (if any) and killing all the parts, that still work.
But the L5 I got is in original state, with even all the original screws and bolts in place. Hoping to find a chat or active community elsewhere to gain some more experience and share mine. If somebody can add me to some whatsapp/telegram chat, I would be so grateful. My mobile is +7 96Ч 783I38O
