Help needed asap

Right took bike apart today for a clean, then noticed that the HT on cyl1 wasnt connected for some derranged reason. HT lead was split so got a new one, fitted it, went to start bike, and nothing.Wouldnt start for toad. After about 10mins of solid trying with the choke it eventually fired up, but ran unbelievably toad. The revs shot upto 4k, and slowly very slowly dropped to 1.5k then it cut out, started it again and the revs started g all over the place. When the bike is revved its taking a good 2/3 seconds to respond to throttle movement, and i cant seem to figure whats wrong with it. I need the bike on the road for monday for a job interview otherwise im fecked.

Sound slike your CDI has had it. Been a few members here had that exact same problem and im sure its the CDI thats had it. Might wanna give the battery a good charge too i beleive that can cause you similar problems.

got it sorted now, the end of the sparkplug that the HT lead attaches to is fecked, so the HT lead wasnt making a good connection and it kept cutting out and going onto 3cyl. Just an idle prob now, it wont idle atall, and the revs are taking a while to drop.
