I think cam chains go on for alot longer than that, its usually the head gasket and cam chain tensioner which needs replacing at the mileage. If your that keen and really want to do it then do it, cant do any harm. Go for the tensioner too while your at it since they usually go around that time.
The head gasket is alot more involved as you have to drop then engine but i wouldnt worry about that unless your bike starts to show signs of a blown head gasket.

A cam chain should go on for ages, the tensioner on the other hand will need replacing.
as Baz says, if it aint broke, dont fix it.
check the chain is wihtin its service limits, and replace the tensioner
My H2 has done about 50,000 kms - head gasket is fine. The previous owner had it for many thousands of miles and the head gasket was fine for him too.
I am fairly sure that a head gasket change is not part of the regular service schedule
