wtf's going on here then???
Just got a email back from e-petitions saying that yet again the government ignored 500,000 votes to stop 'road pricing' because apparently its the best thing to do, and we the public, who the government is ment to represent (laughable I know) don’t give 3 shits about are opinion.
Any way I just read about this-
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Classic-Cars/
I mean WTF!! So if your car is older than about 97 then you can’t drive it in a town center?? How do they expect younger drivers to afford a new car(£2,000+ easily), insurance (I paid 1,400 on a 95 corsa, newer car was around about 2k+. Not fully comp, so you crash and your in even bigger debit), tax (when's this going up again...) ect.
Also what’s happen to being ‘Green’? A car/bike now a days will keep going for years not just 10! Are they upset because the new car market is on its butt? Not getting enough tax anymore? They can only just afford 4 luxury houses in the center of London now. Bless em they do so much for us we’re so lucky to have them...
As you can guess this has really annoyed me...

Well it isn't me whose voting them in. 500,000 Is just a fraction of the population - small wonder it was ignored.

Re: wtf's going on here then???
still more than 30 fat old blokes siting in a facny room make the decision to ignore 500,000 other peoples votes
didnt last time they did it somthink like 1.5 million people voted agenst extra road tax yet it was still ignored, even with all the media coverage
edit: i was wrong the attualy number was 1811337 peopel voted for no road tax, the goverment replyed with this
http://www.pm.gov.uk/output/Page11050.asp
Basicly a load of shite, no definative answer.
I agree, if teroists want to kill some one, please take out the goverment. I dout they'll do that though, there not in the business of makeing people's lifes better...

Re: wtf's going on here then???
Its never gona happen i tell ya........ peope like me cant work then i do 40miles a day to work an back so what they propose i mite as well go on the dole what about the companies like mine 2, we have sites all over the country so we have to get to them. then there is lorry drivers etc.
BUT if it got them fookin moms in there 4x4's off the road in the mornins that would help nicely. this country is goin down the shoots. too much tax an then they give it to immigrants. why not plough it back into our own economy before it fails.

If you believe the government's own statistics (maybe not):masterofinsanity wrote:why don't these bloody terrorists do something useful and bomb this f***ing government cos they are a bunch of useless money grabbing tw*ts! Also, it seems to me that we do nothing to encourage more environmentally friendly or less congestion contributing forms of transport ..
Motorcycles for example, could be made much more economical and incentives such as road tax exemption and/or tax deducatable transport regs and free parking would do much to stimulate takeup. I would also like to see amendments to the highway code such as motorcycles always having right of way! Safety first!
Heck we could even just make <=1000cc cars with specific dimensions (ie small) and ultra low emissions regs road tax exempt.
All these cunts speeding 30 miles to work, one man one car, are all in 2.5-3 ltr estates ffs. Why?!
Nobody cares, ultimately, least of all the government!
PS: How many middle class twats do you know that have 2 or more cars per household AND a shed full of bikes?
Reality man.

Re: wtf's going on here then???
why dos it matter how many bikes/cars you have? you can only use one at a time :S
Im about to buy a 4x4 drive as i need it to pull trailors as well as drive up mountin sides when i go hanglideing, but i'll be keeping my alfa for everday use as well as its better on fuel ect

Re: wtf's going on here then???
Well this is it, they don't. Wifey has a SUV, hubby has a BMW 5 series, Son 1 has a Corsa, Daughter has a Golf etc etc etc.rene wrote:why dos it matter how many bikes/cars you have? you can only use one at a time :S

All of them have no concept of 'non essential' journeys or car sharing.
Wifey drives her kid to school, just hers of course, in a tank. School is 5 miles away like.
Hubby commutes 20 miles at an average speed of 45 mph due to congestion in a 3 litre estate. Why? His penis isn't very large ..
Son and daughter both drive to the same college, but for social reasons can't be seen together. One per car.
etc etc etc

Re: wtf's going on here then???
Thats it aint it, a 4x4 is an off road machine designed for harsh environments for farmers or towing things etc not a fashion statment if they have that much more money than sence why not tax em a tad more
. plus they always take stupid risks like pulling out on people and cutting up. the only reason they do it is cos they feel safe, its like screw the chap in the little smart car you almost killed.
i used to walk to school about a mile there an a mile back a day did me no harm at all.

4x4s are being tax'd more mate, but like you say leave em for the farmers and people who need them.

Oh i know there taxed more than everyone else but i think they should wack abit more on, but maybe exempt the farmers from the high tax bracket i think.
to be honest they have enough room in one of them things to try out a green engine battery powered could be done with the space etc.
