Spidi A80 Penta racing gloves

Post by Caakman400 »

Got myself a pair a few months ago. Nice and broken in now and the best pair of gloves I have ever owned. A bit pricey, but well, well recommended. Nice and cool in the summer (just been riding and it's 30C today), tons of protection and I can even do up the double d-ring on my Shoei with them on. I love the ring2little finger clip too.

Check out the pic:

About 60 quid, though I bought them from an auction site in Japan (where I live). It's easy to find XXL sizes for gloves, jackets etc. on the auction sites over here due to size mistakes.

I saw them advertised online for $269.99 which is about 130 quid, so I guess I got them half-price...sweet :smt025 .

Spidi's an Italian company by the way, so they probably have tons of resellers in the UK.

I also have a year-old pair of their winter/waterproof A83 SportComposite H2OUT gloves. They saw me through a freezing winter with excellent water-proofing; hard-wearing too. Same knuckle protectors as the Penta. Pic:

sounds good price!

its because i like the camel skin gloves as you tend to get more feed back, but they also wear though very quickly :(

damn...camel skin...they must wear through like crazy! The Penta's are cowhide and Keramide (whatever the hell that is) but feedback is surprisingly high, and they give a lot more confidence with all the support/protection. Here's a link to their 2007 catalogue: http://www.motonation.com/2007catalog.htm. I didn't realise but Spidi is the same company as Sidi (boots) - I have an nicely-ageing pair of Vertebrae too :smt003 Italy's all good :smt004

ha ha - i was like where the hell does he get camel skin glvoes from!!!? :smt043

never owned a pair of kangaroo-skin gloves - heard they really meld to your skin. supposed to be stronger than cowskin in a spill too.
