help no spark
hi i bought a f reg zxr 400 that had no anti freeze in it so frooze up and cracked the outer bores but would still start fine just water mixed in the oil. any way i bought a secound hand engine out of a f reg zx4 the same apart from no oil cooler on that model when i took the old engine out i labelled all the wires up so i would no where they would go back so today i put the secound hand engine in and no spark i have checked the wires and all is fine redone the earths and also changed the magneto and pick up off of the old engine but still no spark the bike itself has been well looked after with all its original conectors on the loom with no cuts or joins but no joy any one got any ideas cheers

see if there's power going to the coils use a multimeter to measure this when trying to start the bike you should be getting quite a blast of power from the alternator if you don't have a multimeter then get a silly friend to hold on to them but be careful
