Hi
Did anybody change cam chain on the zxr400L on the bike without removing ongine from the bike?

It can be done but it's much easier to drop the engine out and do it

yep i did it and when you've got it stripped of carbs, bodywork and surge tank I recon you could easily do it from there in 2 hours.
Cargo is right it could be easier with the engine out of the bike but for the hassle.. i wouldnt bother, they don't at the kawasaki dealers near me, so i sure as hell aint lol.

Don't forget that getting the old chain out and the new chail in you needs to remove a little metal from the crankcases where the chain passes.

Anyone got a picture of this?
If not I put one up tomorrow

please pictures can be healp.
Iff that can be commute on the bike I think that is for me beter solution.
But on the bike I think I cant remove left plastic tensioner and I dot know how that can be a problem if tesioner is there.
