Ur license wud be gone mate, ur get a ban which wud vary on how long depending wat the courts think. Not worth it mate get a kit fitted.
If it's broke spray it with WD40, if it's still broke spray it again and leave it over night, if it's still broke, bin it.

I'm the opposite, have the kit fitted but no certificate. I am legal though, you aren't!
Washers in the carbs is the way to do it, will cost you nothing off ebay, then fit them yourself (easy enough job). Its not worth it if your in an accident, especially as your only sacfificing a little acceleration and top spped

Pretty sure they fit all years yeah. I suppose you could file the holes larger, but if they chuck your bike on a dyno and it comes up higher than 33bhp you're in the toad!i've found a couple on ebay. do the carb washers fit all years of zxr's? could i file the holes slightly larger in the washers?

Re: 33 BHP kit?
think when installing the washers you dont have to do anything, its when removing them that the carbs need setting up

i'd rather not risk it. through the eyes of the law you're still breaking the law and should have checked it etc before riding. i mite aswell abide the law i've only gotta be restricted for a year anna bit so i'm not to worried.lewisdale wrote:i would leave em out, especially if the certificate is dated before u bought the bike, if anthing ever happens play dumb and say you bought it as a restricted bike

Re: 33 BHP kit?
Exactly by worth risking it.
I'd either just buy the kit off eBay or make ur own using the templates on here, I'd link u to it but I'm on my iPod atm so just search for restrictors.
