lets see,

black/white/grey leathers

black/grey gloves (but they'll be replaced soon cos they are toad quality and have started splitting at the seams from normal use)

plain black boots

good so far, but then

blue/white lid
black/pink/purple bike
my textile kit is black and yellow (or it was yellow prior to 6 years of road grime)

so basically, no i dont. it's all what colour i felt like when i bought that particular bit of kit.

but hey, it takes more than colour coordinated leathers to turn a wanker into a biker :smt003

Remember speed kills, so does smoking, drinking, drugs, fast food and many more good things

All it usually takes to make a wanker think he's a biker is;

Firstly have a mid-life crisis.
Secondly take your direct access.
Thirdly buy a brand new R1 on HP
Fourthly buy a set of leathers that match your bike and of course a matching set for the wife.
Fifth buy the cheapest helmet you can find, but make sure it matches your bike and leathers. And of course once again a matching one for wifey.

Now with all the gear and no idea. You look like an over weight Power Ranger and are ready to spend your Sundays going extremely fast and then slowing to almost a crawl in order to take corners in a series of straight lines, before using every chance to tell people about your variable inlet port lengths when you really don't actually know what they are or what they do.

Wow, sorry about that went off on one a bit, I'm just fed up with getting stuck behind these knob jockeys because they won't let you overtake them, grrrrrrr :smt013

You forgot to add:

Sixth, kill yourself and comprise 99% of the accident statistics for motorcylists and 99.9% of the insurance claims when your totally unsecured 9k motorcycle gets lifted off your drive while you nip inside for a toad.

Also, in my experience they buy the most expensive lids. Easiest way to spot a weekend warrior is the fact he'll be wearing an Arai Corsair RX7 with an iridum visor.

The equipment chap at my local shop is a bit of a preacher, his favourite thing to go on about is when he has just watched someone buy a bike that does the fun side of 150 then walks over to him and asks for the cheapest lid they have.

My favourite thing to do to weekend warriors is go round the outside of them on corners whilst waving at them. But then thats the difference between a weekend warrior and an asphalt terrorist. :smt071

blimey! i was just trying to inject a bit of light humour into the debate!

actually, i first heard that phrase in a pub on a uni bike club ride out - the guy who said it then realised he had unwittingly insulted the guy next to him (who to be fair had got his blue and white leathers several years before he decided to buy a gixxer)

oops

I think there's nothing worse than matching leathers and bike.

Heres me at a track day :smt009

Sorry about the size of it, I don't know how to edit it.

Anyway, that's just my track stuff, i think its a bit much for the road and in my defense I had a black bike when I bought them !!!!!!!

On the road I wear a blue Alpinstar Dyno jacket with black leather pants.
