I see where your coming from with the 250's. I've got a zzr 250, struggle to get second hand parts for that. Although the parts I needed for the head gasket I got direct from kwak.
Seems to be more parts for the zxr.

The only time i noticed teh zxr 'struggling' to think of a better word was when i got my current bike. wich is a twin.
I used the zxr every weekend to go croydon(from notts) for 6 months, and the other 5 days for work notts to derby. It took its toll on the engine but never had a complaint about city riding. Maybe its cus im young and spritefull(with my bad back at 20 :S) but i would have another one for work.
They never struggle just teh useabale rev range is higher.
2-4K will be good for towns on my Er6, but my kwak was more arround the 6K+ mark. Just adopt your riding to the bike.
