Re: I Seem To Live In Here! Tool Needed
hi diesel,
i use a long reach socket (about 16mm) with a magnet inside (place the magnet on top of the spring retainer over where the collets are), a long bar and ratchet on the end of said socket, and push down, then the magnet picks up the collets. make sure the magnet doesn't foul inside the socket tho'. and the ratchet is only on to make it easier and not so painful when you push down!
then to put them back, get a friend, a strong one, to push the spring down with a pair of pliers while you put collets back in place.
its a bit of a rough way of doing it, but it works.
hope this helps and makes sense!!

If said friend with pliers uses long nose pliers they'll come in handy for fetching collets out of your eye..................
